Jun Zhu, Ph.D.

Professor, Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering

Dr. Zhu's research covers a wide range of topics in studying advanced technologies to treat animal manure for nutrients management and odor control.

His research areas include biological systems, bioreactors, and physical and chemical processes for animal manure and organic waste treatment and nutrient management including evaluation, research, development, improvement, and application of various treatment techniques, odor control techniques and applications; livestock manure odorous compounds determination; odor dispersion modeling; bioresource recovery, bioenergy and biohydrogen, nutrient cycling to produce value-added products, and bioconversion and bioremediation; and environmental microbiology and biochemistry.
